18-22/05 | Residency Convergence Zone – Denormalizing Collapse THECO, 15/05/202619/05/2026 We are pleased to share with you the first edition of Convergence Zone – Denormalizing Collapse, an international residency and forum taking place in Vitoria-Gasteiz from May 18 to 22, 2026, featuring, among other speakers, Adrián Almazán. Organized by the Common Action Forum (CAF) in collaboration with various local institutions and organizations, Convergence Zone will bring together intellectuals, artists, researchers, and activists from around the world to collectively reflect on the multiple dimensions of contemporary collapse—ecological, political, social, and existential—and explore forms of resistance, coexistence, and transformative action. Over five days of sessions, visits, and meetings, participants will address issues such as degrowth, war and militarization, migration, civic disenchantment, public space, technology, energy poverty, and human rights. Among the confirmed residents are: Greta Thunberg, David Vine, Érika Campelo, Jean Wyllys, Julia Grosinger, Macarena Bonhomme, Zaid Jaloudi, and Wadah Khanfar. Researchers, institutional representatives, and social actors from the Basque Country and Spain will also participate. Zona de Convergencia (Convergence Zone) is promoted by Common Action Forum (CAF), an independent transnational foundation based in Madrid dedicated to strengthening global progressive networks and promoting spaces for dialogue and international cooperation.
